Pine And Crane Cast Iron Teapot
The Pine and Crane Cast Iron Teapot is a sturdy and practical piece that combines traditional craftsmanship with symbolic elegance. Made from cast iron using the ancient lost-wax casting method, each teapot is produced through approximately 68 meticulous processes, taking nearly two months from design to completion. The fine workmanship makes every piece worthy of collection.
The teapot body is engraved with pine trees and flying cranes, symbolizing longevity, harmony, and noble character. The crane motif is gilded, adding refined detail and visual depth. It features a copper handle and copper lid, finished in a rose-gold tone. The bud-shaped lid knob is elegant and easy to grip, while the handle offers a comfortable and heat-resistant hold.
The spout is designed with a graceful arc, allowing smooth pouring and clean water cutoff. Cast iron teapots naturally reach higher boiling temperatures and retain heat longer, helping fully release the aroma of tea. During boiling, the teapot releases trace iron ions and absorbs chloride ions, which softens the water, making tea taste sweeter and smoother. The uncoated inner wall is formed through a 1200℃ charcoal-fire natural oxidation process, ensuring safe and healthy drinking.
This teapot is compatible with a wide range of heat sources, including induction cookers, electric stoves, gas stoves, charcoal stoves, alcohol stoves, and candle insulation stoves. It is both a practical daily teapot and an artisanal work of traditional craft.
To prevent rust, keep the interior dry after use. Open the lid and allow residual heat to evaporate moisture, or wipe the teapot dry with a tea towel. Avoid dry burning. If rust appears, gently brush with a soft brush and boil water with green tea for 2–3 days. Rice water, vinegar, onion slices, potato slices, or radish with a little salt can also help remove rust.
